Lay Member´s Day 2015 took place at London, Imperial College´s Huxley building at South Kensington.

Lay Member´s Day 2015 at Imperial College, Huxley Building, 180 Queen´s Gate, London

I´ll fly today to London and tomorrow I´ll show my progress of my works through three years.
There will two of us from group 25 and others form group 26.
I and Marika are one year late, we couldn´t attend the happening last year so now is the time!

I have to say that I travel very, very light, look at my suitcase! It´s almost empty!

Messages to Convey -Exhibition

The exhibition takes place in Verkaranta, Tampere 1.10.-2.11.2014.
The exhibiton presents 14 calligraphers, who have all graduated as Bachelors of Culture and Arts from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences.

Just finished medieval wedding invitations, few in english and the rest in finnish.

The envelopes were sealed, of course.

Certificate

I had a commission of three certificates.
I used BFK Rives paper (which I aged with coffee), stick ink, 23k loose gold leaf.

New Year 2014

ATS is over, but on 26th April 2014 will be Lay Members´ Day in London.
More specifically at Imperial College, Huxley Building, Exhibition road, London SW7 2 RH
10:00 am - 4:30 pm.
Our Group 25 will be showing the progress our work through the three years of the scheme.

Christmas time

I wish you all Merry Christmas !

Art in Pinsiö

Our tutors Sally Mae and Juliet encouraged us to visit galleries, all kind of art exhibitions etc. 

As well wander in the forest and scope out the nature.

Well, I did ! I took apart to a excursion called “Arts of Pinsiö” with my friends yesterday on Thursday.

At first we visited Osmo Rauhala´s home farm. Osmo Rauhala being one of pioneers of the current international movement in Finnish contemporary art, is as well an organic farmer. He told us about the history of the farm. On the premises, on the brook, lives a very rare freshwater pearl mussel. There are only two brooks in Finland, where you can find these mussels.

After that we visited at Nancy Holt´s earthwork “Up and under”. It has been built in 1996 and lately renewed.

It is built on sand, cement, soils, grass and water.
