Our tutors Sally Mae and Juliet encouraged
us to visit galleries, all kind of art exhibitions etc.
As well wander in the
forest and scope out the nature.
Well, I did ! I took
apart to a excursion called “Arts of Pinsiö” with my friends yesterday on Thursday.
At first we visited
Osmo Rauhala´s home farm. Osmo Rauhala
being one of pioneers of the current international movement in Finnish
contemporary art, is as well an organic farmer. He told us about the history of
the farm. On the premises, on the brook, lives a very rare freshwater pearl
mussel. There are only two brooks in Finland, where you can find these mussels.

After that we visited
at Nancy Holt´s earthwork “Up and under”. It has been built in 1996 and lately
renewed.
It is built on sand,
cement, soils, grass and water.
